The G-Sleeve® is a highly visible patient-safety sleeve designed to alert healthcare professionals that a particular arm or limb may require special precautions. It helps reduce the risk of restricted-limb procedures such as blood-pressure measurements, blood draws, or intravenous access being performed on the affected limb.
The purpose of the G-Sleeve® is to provide a clear visual warning at the point of care. It helps healthcare teams quickly identify protected limbs and supports safer, more consistent clinical workflows.
G-Sleeves® may be used by hospitals, outpatient facilities, surgical centers, dialysis centers, clinics, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and patients who need a visible restricted-limb reminder.
No. The G-Sleeve® is a visual identification and safety-alert product. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent a medical condition and should not replace clinical judgment, a physician’s instructions, or a healthcare facility’s policies and procedures.
Certain patients may be instructed to avoid procedures on a specific arm or limb due to their medical history, treatment, or an existing medical device. A visible warning can help remind healthcare professionals to confirm the appropriate site before beginning a procedure.
No safety product can completely eliminate the possibility of human error. The G-Sleeve® is designed to provide an additional visual reminder and layer of protection as part of a broader patient-safety process.
The patient’s physician, nurse, or other qualified healthcare professional should determine whether limb restrictions are appropriate. Patients should follow the instructions provided by their healthcare team.
